Norce Engineering Day - highlights from a day of innovation

Last week we gathered for Norce Engineering Day, a full day of inspiration, knowledge sharing, and networking. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our speakers, external guests, Norce colleagues, and customer representatives, who contributed with valuable perspectives. The day truly showed the strength of coming together around technology and development.

A day full of insights

The agenda was packed with sessions ranging from AI outlooks and roadmap updates to hands‑on customer experiences. We explored how AI is reshaping development, how partners can influence Norce’s future, and how new tools are making everyday work easier and more efficient.

Key takeaways

The program started with Johan Sanneblad (TokenTek), who shared how he builds virtual development teams with AI agents and gave a fascinating outlook on the exponential growth of AI models through 2028. Later, Fredrik Lindros (Norce) offered an AI‑focused perspective, setting the stage for discussions about how these technologies are reshaping commerce.

From there, Fredrik Ryde and Magnus Blombergsson (Norce) presented the roadmap, including the launch of our public roadmap that now allows partners to see and influence upcoming developments. This openness strengthens collaboration and ensures that Norce evolves in line with real needs.

We also introduced our new AI bot, trained on Norce’s public documentation, which makes working with developer resources faster and more intuitive. Alongside this, Benny Olsson (Norce) presented our vision for Agentic Shopping through the MCP Server, showing how autonomous agents can interact with APIs to create smarter, more personalized shopping experiences.

In the afternoon, Thomas Isby, Johan Bjerling, and Johan Ketels (Norce) demonstrated how AI agents are accelerating code modernization by a factor of ten or more. This was followed by Bob Jelica (Walley), who showed how Product Managers can easily build interactive prototypes with tools like Lovable, making innovation accessible beyond developer teams.

Finally, Daniel Modig (String Furniture) shared lessons learned from consuming Norce APIs both with code‑producing AI agents and as a human developer, a session that gave unique insights into how AI and human creativity can complement each other.

Looking Ahead

The day ended with mingling at Convendum, the perfect way to round off a program full of ideas, insights, and future‑focused discussions.

What we take with us from Engineering Day is clear: AI is no longer just a buzzword, but a practical tool that is already changing how we work, innovate, and collaborate. And with our partners engaged through the public roadmap, we are building the future of commerce together.
