Agentic commerce starts now

Last summer, when I was new in the CEO role, I wrote about turning complexity into simplicity. About the power behind the scenes, and why the layered infrastructure that powers commerce is what makes seamless experiences possible.  

Twelve months later, that theme has evolved into something much bigger. And much faster. 

The agentic era of commerce is no longer a prediction. It's now.  

AI agents are becoming real participants in commerce. They search. They reason. They compare assortments, evaluate prices, consider availability, and drive purchases from intent to transaction. What's changing is where it all happens. Not necessarily in your webshop. More and more buying journeys are starting in conversational AI interfaces, on platforms like ChatGPT and Claude, within social media, and through agent-to-agent interactions that never touch a traditional frontend.  

That raises a fundamental question for every business we work with: When a transaction can happen anywhere, by anyone, or by any agent, do you have control over your products, your pricing, and your promotions?  

That question has shaped our roadmap this year. And the answer is exactly what Norce is built to deliver. API-first. Composable. Open. Late last year, we launched our Agent Gateway and MCP servers, making Norce the commerce engine that AI agents can connect to, reason with, and transact through. Not as an add-on. As a platform strategy.  

And there's more to come. After the summer, we'll introduce a new generation of our PIM. I'm genuinely excited about what we are building. I'll save the details for later, but I can say this: It will be among the very best on the market. Not as a marketing claim. As a promise from a team that has spent the last months focused on building it.

What I'm most proud of

None of the product innovation, infrastructure improvements, or customer successes we've achieved this year would mean much without the people behind them.  

The energy inside Norce right now is something I never take for granted. Our team supports customers and partners with a depth of expertise and level of genuine commitment that struck me from day one and continues to impress me today. They don't just solve problems. They care deeply about commerce. They care about the craft of making something complex feel simple for the person on the other side.  

And what excites me most is how the entire company has embraced the agentic era. Not with concern. With curiosity. There is a genuine hunger across Norce to understand what this shift means for our customers and partners, and to help lead them through it. That collective mindset is a competitive advantage I can't quantify, but I feel it every day.
