With a vast and complex B2B offering – including thousands of products, customer-specific pricing, and detailed variants – the company faced a clear digital challenge: to modernise its operations and meet the evolving expectations of professional installers and contractors.

The company’s previous e-commerce platform was no longer fit for purpose. Search functionality was limited, the interface felt outdated, and incorrect orders were far too common – largely due to inconsistent product naming across suppliers.

  • Algolia – an AI-powered search engine helping users find the right product fast – essential for tradespeople on the go

  • An integration hub – connecting Norce with Heidenreich’s ERP and other key systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency

Thanks to Norce’s headless, API-first architecture, the new platform was not only rapidly deployed but also tailored to Heidenreich’s unique business needs.

Replatforming is never a minor undertaking. But the results were immediate and measurable:

  • Over 6,500 orders were placed within the first two months – with turnover already exceeding the previous solution

  • Fewer incorrect orders, thanks to improved product data, better search, and clearer structure

  • 9 out of 10 users prefer the new platform over the old one – a clear sign of improved user experience

  • Enhanced SEO and editorial control, with schema.org support, automatic sitemaps, and editable meta tags through CMS

The new setup has also unlocked new ways of working. Heidenreich can now run campaigns, customise content, and take greater control of the customer experience.
