Winter Product Update
As winter sets in, Norce Commerce shifts full focus to AI and agents. This update introduces Norce Agent Gateway – our foundation for agentic commerce – alongside new building blocks for developers and continued improvements across the platform. Together, these releases set the stage for what comes next.

Norce Agent Gateway: A structured way for AI agents to work with commerce
At the core of this winter update is Norce Agent Gateway, our initiative for enabling AI agents to interact with Norce Commerce in a structured, secure, and controllable way.
The Agent Gateway currently consists of two MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, each serving a distinct role in the agent ecosystem.
Norce Commerce MCP
Norce Commerce MCP exposes core commerce capabilities to AI agents with clear guardrails. It enables agents to reason about and work with products, pricing, variants, baskets, and other central commerce concepts – without bypassing business logic or platform rules.
This makes it possible to build agents that can actively participate in commerce workflows, while remaining aligned with Norce’s domain model and APIs.

Norce Assistant MCP
Norce Assistant MCP is an MCP server connected to our AI assistant, trained on Norce documentation and platform context. It is designed primarily for developers and code agents.
By bringing Norce-specific knowledge directly into AI-assisted development tools, developers benefit from faster onboarding, tighter feedback loops, and fewer context switches when designing, building, and troubleshooting solutions on Norce.

Norce Commerce Agent SDK: Building blocks for Agentic Commerce
Complementing the Agent Gateway, we’ve also released the Norce Commerce Agent SDK.
The SDK provides open source, reusable building blocks for creating agent-based commerce experiences on site. Rather than starting from scratch, teams can compose agents that understand Norce Commerce concepts and integrate them into existing storefronts, services, or internal workflows.
Whether you are experimenting with early agent use cases or building production-grade solutions, the SDK offers a structured and extensible foundation for agentic commerce.
Documentation and developer experience
Our documentation continues to evolve alongside the platform, with clearer structure, expanded examples, and better alignment with how Norce Commerce is used in real-world setups.
As part of this work, we’ve introduced a new Agentic section in the documentation portal. This section brings together everything related to Agentic Commerce and Agentic Solution Management, including an overview of Agent Gateway, the MCP servers and Agent SDK´s.
November & December platform improvements
Beyond agentic tooling, the November and December releases include a steady stream of refinements across the platform:
-
Improved stability and performance in Admin and core services
-
Continued enhancements to Checkout and payment adapters
-
Incremental UX and accessibility improvements
-
Bug fixes and edge-case handling across pricing, tax, and integrations
These updates focus on reliability and predictability — the kind of improvements that quietly make everyday work smoother.
